Choose DuPage Travels to Washington DC Promoting the Elgin O’Hare Expressway and the Critical Role it will Play in DuPage County

Choose DuPage is pleased to announce that on June 27, they will be a part of a delegation of business leaders, labor leaders, transportation experts and elected officials traveling to Washington D.C. to discuss federal transportation funding concerning the Elgin O’Hare Expressway and the critical role this project will play in the economic development future of DuPage County. The Choose DuPage Board of Directors endorsed the Illinois Toll Authority’s Capital Plan and believes very strongly in the importance of sound infrastructure as a key driver in true growth for the business community in the region.

Traveling with Choose DuPage President and CEO Greg Bedalov will be Dan Cronin, Chairman of DuPage County, Tom Cuculich, Chief of Staff of DuPage County, Paul Fichtner, Chairman of DuPage County Finance Committee, JR McBride, Chairman of DuPage County Legislative Committee, Frank Furco, Financial Secretary and Treasurer of DuPage County Building and Trades Council, Kristi Lafleur, Executive Director of Illinois Tollway, Rod Craig, Mayor of Hanover Park, Ron Lunt, Partner at Hamilton Partners, and Jim Spangler, Director of Communications at Navistar. Additionally, Mayor Pedersen of Franklin Park, Mayor Moylan of Des Plaines, Mayor Soto of Bensenville and Mayor Sherwin of Northlake, who are all on a separate visit to Washington D.C., will join the group for some of our meetings.
