Warrenville, Illinois is a place for businesses of all sizes, from international corporations to small start-ups. The City of Warrenville possesses the location, transportation network, demographics, workforce, public services, quality of life amenities, and pro-business climate essential for success. Warrenville prides itself on being a business friendly and progressive small town with a proven commitment of working with the business and development community in a professional and helpful manner to accomplish positive business development and expansion outcomes.
This commitment is best exemplified by the public private partnership and the Tax Increment Financing District the City established to facilitate the redevelopment of a 650-acre limestone quarry into the world-class mixed-use Cantera development that now surrounds the I-88/Winfield Road interchange. As a result of this partnership, the City used tax increment financing to fund the installation of the approximately 60 million dollars of infrastructure improvements necessary to support the more than 500 million dollars of new residential, commercial, and business development that has occurred in Cantera. Over the past year the following businesses have decided to call Warrenville’s Cantera development home:
EN Engineering occupied approximately 75,000 sq. ft. of space in the eight-story Cantera Meadows office building located at the northwest corner of the Winfield Road/Ferry Road Intersection. Approximately 400 EN Engineering employees now work at this location.
