Goal
Provide Support to Help Small Businesses Emerge from the Pandemic
Small businesses are the backbone of the DuPage economy and play a vital role in the success and prosperity of our county. Currently, many small businesses are in desperate need of financial aid and other forms of business assistance. Continued support is critical to help small businesses navigate and eventually emerge from the pandemic.
ACTION PLAN
- Develop application criteria to identify DuPage County small businesses with the greatest financial need and request additional funding for Reinvest DuPage, the small business relief grant program, to support these businesses.
- Continue to promote all available federal, state, and local pandemic relief programs to the DuPage business community.
- Implement the DuPage 3C Small Business Recovery Program:
- Communicate with the Reinvest DuPage Grant recipients and other small businesses to gain a better understanding of their immediate and long-term, non-financial needs.
- Connect these small businesses needing assistance to businesses resources. Partners available for small business assistance include: SCORE, SBDC, Choose DuPage Board Members, Innovation DuPage, local municipalities, and more.
- Collaborate with Choose DuPage partners to expand the Choose DuPage COVID-19 Business Resource Toolkit. Post-COVID, expand the Toolkit to include resources related to workforce development and job training programs, grant opportunities, and more.
- Communicate with the Reinvest DuPage Grant recipients and other small businesses to gain a better understanding of their immediate and long-term, non-financial needs.
