Terra Vista Oakbrook Terrace

Oakbrook Terrace recently attracted a 70,000 SF senior care development. Construction on the 3.8 acre parcel is already underway and the new facility is expected to open in the beginning of 2015 at 1635 S. Ardmore Ave. The development will house 106 units/110 beds for individuals with Alzheimer’s and various other forms of dementia. With the exception of four 2-bed units, all resident apartments will be private with their own private bathrooms. Kensington Management Group and Lancaster Health Group have partnered to provide the best of memory care and technology in the field at Terra Vista of Oakbrook Terrace. Mayor Tony Ragucci and 23rd District Illinois Senator Tom Cullerton attended the groundbreaking ceremony in November 2013. The Gardner School

The Gardner School in Oakbrook Terrace is an academically focused private preschool for ages 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten. With four other locations in the Chicagoland area, The Gardner School was excited to bring its award-winning programs, research-based curriculum, four-year degreed teachers and state-of-the-art facilities to the Oakbrook Terrace and Oak Brook communities. With over 16,000 square feet of educationally engineered classrooms, playgrounds, indoor covered play areas, a cafeteria and a dedicated enrichment program studio, The Gardner School will provide a diverse and well-rounded experience for all of its students. Drury Lane Theatre and Conference Center

In 2013, Oakbrook Terrace’s Drury Lane completed Phase 1 of its extensive renovation. The renovations included the 27,000 square foot Grand Ballroom, the Main Lobby, Cocktail Lounge, and The French and The English Dining Rooms. The inviting new spaces feature a sophisticated European design aesthetic with top-of-the-line furnishings, original artwork and elegant décor. Phase 2, set for completion in mid-2014, will include the renovation of the Courtyard Restaurant and the Theatre Bar. The space has been designed to suit a wide range of events, from black tie galas to corporate meetings and trade shows. Oakbrook Terrace Square

Oakbrook Terrace Square is a newer retail development in the City that provides a village setting, complete with beautifully landscaped pedestrian walkways that include attractive plantings and seating areas to encourage outdoor gathering while shopping. All infrastructure has been completed and the remaining 40,000 SF of construction began in late 2013. The new center already features 58,000-square-foot grocer, Pete’s Fresh Market, plus an additional 83,000 SF of shopping, dining and services tenants that include Hokkaido Steakhouse and Lounge, Supremeville, Caribou Coffee, Subway, BMO Bank, Felipe Salon and Day Spa, Pearle Vision, Premier Tax Services, Super Cuts, Luxury Nails, JPA Pappa’s Account Group, Payday Loans, RJ Jewelry and Insurance Plus.

The Greater Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Partnership welcomed SIRVA (53,000 SF) to Parkview Plaza, JP Morgan Chase Private Bank to One Lincoln Center (11,000 SF), American Family Insurance at Oakbrook Terrace Corporate Center at 1901 S Meyers Rd. (18,616 SF) and CSP Media to Oakbrook Terrace Tower (13,398 SF).
