County Board member Paul Fichtner (back row, second from right) joined County Board Chairman Dan Cronin (front row, fourth from left) and members of the Board of Health in celebrating the opening of the DuPage County Health Department’s new Community Center. The facility is a private/public partnership between NAMI DuPage and the Health Department to provide expanded mental health services.
The Community Center now houses the Health Department’s 24-hour crisis services, along with their vocational training and psychological rehabilitation programs. The facility also has meeting rooms for groups, dining areas and activity spaces for health and wellness programs.
