Choose DuPage Travels to Washington DC Promoting the Elgin O’Hare Expressway and the Critical Role it will Play in DuPage County

Choose DuPage is pleased to announce that on June 27, they will be a part of a delegation of business leaders, labor leaders, transportation experts and elected officials traveling to Washington D.C. to discuss federal transportation funding concerning the Elgin O’Hare Expressway and the critical role this project will play in the economic development future of DuPage County.  The Choose DuPage Board of Directors endorsed the Illinois Toll Authority’s Capital Plan and believes very strongly in the importance of sound infrastructure as a key driver in true growth for the business community in the region. Choose DuPage Participates in RECon Trade Show to Promote Municipalities in DuPage County

(June 5, Lisle, Ill.) On May 21-23, Choose DuPage, along with representatives from 11 municipalities, participated in the largest gathering of real estate professionals at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) RECon trade show. The annual trade show features the world’s largest gathering of real estate professionals with 30,000 attendees. This allowed each municipality first-class exposure and opportunities to network, promote doing business in DuPage County and learn from industry experts. Continue reading

Choose DuPage Initiates “New Tools for New Times”

Choose DuPage Human Services Task Force Initiates Best Practices Training for Nonprofits and Human Service Organizations “New Tools for New Times”

(May 25, 2012, Lisle, Ill.) Choose DuPage Human Services Task Force, in conjunction with the DuPage Federation on Human Service Reform, has initiated a new pilot project, New Tools for New Times. The project was created to train key personnel and incorporate best business practices into the human services sector. Through a combination of proven management techniques, the task force aims to help not-for-profits create a flexible plan that will encourage growth and respond to DuPage County’s changing demographics and financial needs. This pilot project is jointly funded by the Choose DuPage Foundation and the DuPage Community Foundation, and the training will be delivered by the Business Innovation Services group at the University of Illinois in Naperville.
