The City of Warrenville is located in western DuPage County approximately 30 miles west of The City of Chicago. Warrenville is a successful blend of major international corporations, regional office centers, light industrial facilities, local retail locations and varied residential units. Warrenville encompasses the Cantera Development which is an award-winning, 650 acre mixed-use development that is located at the southern border to the city. Cantera is bisected by the East-West Tollway (I-88) which provides fast and direct access to the Chicago region. Warrenville abuts and has direct access to four major Forest Preserves; Blackwell, Warrenville Grove, Herrick Lake and McDowell Grove. Other outdoor leisure activities in Warrenville are based around the ever-popular Prairie Path and the DuPage River both of which meander through the very center of town and enhance the rural aspect of the community. Warrenville is served by Community Unit School District 200, which includes the excellent Wheaton Warrenville South High School, one of the major reasons that residents remain in and move to Warrenville. Last but by no means least, are the large number of community organized festivals and events that illustrate Warrenville at its best, which include Warrenville's Annual Summer Daze, currently in its 31st year, the two-day July 4th Celebration, and Holly Days in December.
